Our client is currently seeking a Development Engineer to join their busy team! Are you an experienced Engineer who possesses an electrical qualification?
If so, our client could have the perfect opportunity for you! Joining as part of their Engineering and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the plant through improvements and recommendations ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum on a variety of automated systems.

The Role:
* To identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to improve machine and process effectiveness
* To assist in managing engineering projects from inception through to completion, including:
* Writing equipment specifications
* Managing all appropriate resources
* Implementing and monitoring
* Compliance with budgetary limitations.
* Effective handover to production.
* To adhere to company Health and Safety requirements.
* This position is not solely office-based and requires a hands-on approach
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Timed served engineer, electrically bias
* Ideally, a good working knowledge of PLC and servo control systems
* Understand and be able to work with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
* Good computer skills, and CAD systems, ideally Auto-Cad would be desirable
* Have experience in installing and commissioning new pieces of equipment
* Good understanding of all aspects of Health and Safety, including control of contractors
* Proven ability to work and deliver to agreed timescales
* Self-motivated and works on own initiative as well as part of a team
* The analytical ability to approach, manage, and solve problems of varying levels of complexity
* Be prepared to take a hands-on approach to the work
* Good communication and organisational skills
