Senior Project Manager – Thames/Southern Water Contracts
Location: Thames Valley and Southern Water
Permanent: Up to £75k (dependent on exp) + Car Allowance
Role Purpose -
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join our client and lead a key portfolio of WSW improvement projects across the South East of England, covering areas from Thames Valley, to Kent, to the Isle of Wight. As the Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, the client are responsible for delivering critical infrastructure upgrades in partnership with Thames & Southern Water.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a strategic program that is integral to our business objectives and client relationships. You will work closely with the Contract Manager and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. While flexible remote working is available, regular site visits and attendance at our Maidstone and Falmer offices will be required.

Role Overview -
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will lead resource coordination, timeline management, and risk mitigation to achieve exceptional project outcomes.
* Key ResponsibilitiesContract Management: Oversee contractual obligations and ensure successful project execution.
* Team Leadership: Manage staff and subcontractors assigned to projects.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the safety of all personnel under your supervision and complete Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
* Project Documentation: Develop and maintain project documentation, reporting progress within a structured monthly framework.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth project progression.
* Environmental Responsibility: Implement proactive measures to mitigate environmental impact.
Requirements Essential:
* Experience in civil, industrial M&E, or MEICA project management.
* Strong knowledge of project planning, monitoring, and control techniques.
* Familiarity with planning software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
* In-depth understanding of health & safety legislation and company procedures.
* SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely certification.
* Full UK driving license.
* Experience working with the NEC suite of contracts.
Desirable:
* City & Guilds trade qualification (or equivalent, where applicable).
