What you’ll be doing As our Finance Assistant, you'll join a friendly finance team, acting as the first point of contact for banking transaction and credit card queries. You'll maintain accurate bank records, process outgoing payments (BACS, CHAPS, faster payments), and post loan and interest transactions to the finance system. You’ll also assist in producing short-term cash forecasts and preparing loan rollover decisions. More about you The ideal Finance Assistant will have experience in a finance role, a minimum of GCSE Mathematics at grade C (or equivalent), ideally with a desire to pursue or be working towards a recognised accounting qualification. Proficiency in processing payments through banking software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and use initiative are essential. Confidence in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is also required. Please note that internally this position is known as a Treasury Assistant. When and where you'll be doing it Based at The Maltings in Bath, you will work flexibly for 22.5 hours per week, with your schedule tailored to suit both your routine and the team’s needs.
