We currently have a vacancy for a Veterinary Care Assistant to work within our fantastic practices.
Duties will include assisting with patient care and theatre duties, as well as maintaining high levels of cleanliness throughout the clinical environment, processing surgical kits, assisting with patient preparation and recovery.
This role is vital for the smooth running of the practice site. The veterinary care assistants work closely with the site teams to ensure our patients receive the highest levels of care during their time with us - this is a key element of the role.
Our practices
You will be based predominantly between our south hub sites at Stapenhill and Mickleover but will need to be able to work at other sites if required. Both Stapenhill and Mickleover are well-equipped surgeries having facilities for medical and surgical patients, treating a varied case load of companion animals.
The perfect fit
This position would suit a proactive person able to effectively prioritise and manage their own workload. The ideal candidate should be passionate about all aspects of animal care and enjoys a challenge. Previous experience working within the Veterinary field would be a benefit but not essential. Working together as a bonded team we visualise you also becoming an integral part of the local community, being trusted to provide the absolute best care and advice available. Stapenhill and Mickleover are both long-established teams who greatly enjoy working with each other and the environment together. Shift pattern
This is a 41.5-hour weekly contract from Monday to Friday, working between the opening hours of 8 am - 7 pm. Part-time applicants are welcome if a job share can be agreed upon.
