We are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of a new high-profile Team of Community Safety Enforcement Officers. This new and exciting Team will be required to patrol the main urban areas within Barking and Dagenham and be responsible for enforcing the borough's four Public Space Protection Orders on a shift pattern. You will be working with statutory and voluntary sector organisations, communities, and individuals. Within this role, you have the opportunity to collectively address persistent and problematic crime and anti-social behaviour within the Borough, making a real difference to the lives of residents and businesses within Barking and Dagenham.
Key aspects of the role include:
1. Identifying individuals and/or locations of significant community safety/anti-social behaviour risk.
2. Engaging with individuals who may need to access Council services to assist with any identified vulnerabilities.
3. Compiling and collecting data and information for review at multi-agency meetings.
4. Attending community events to engage with the public and raise awareness of crime issues.
5. Providing crime prevention advice to residents.
This role is based in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and requires successful candidates to effectively contribute to an operational rota, including out of hours, weekends, and evenings as required. Candidates must adhere to the dress code by wearing the uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the Council while also adhering to risk assessments related to high visibility clothing.

You will be required to have a DBS check processed by LBBD and possess a full driving licence.
