Job Responsibilities
* Effectively deal with queries from customers (both internal and external) via telephone, email, or in person, maintaining a professional attitude following customer service standards.
* Resolve as many queries as possible during the initial contact.
* Be proactive to customer needs.
* Achieve standards set within the SLA for KPI needs on behalf of all trusts.
* Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to clients, their employees, and third parties in a positive and professional manner.
* Follow guidelines under the Data Protection Act.
* Ensure payroll staff achieve Key Performance Indicators in respect of call resolution.
* Maintain awareness of statutory regulations regarding National and Local deductions from pay such as PAYE and NI.
* Construct suitable responses to queries from staff, HMRC, and other organizations, both verbal and written.
* Flexibly process multiple enquiries on multi-customer payrolls.
* Adhere to NHS SBS internal policies.
* Comply with Departmental Internal Controls and the financial framework determined by the Client.
The Successful Applicant
* Ability to work in a team.
* Numerate and methodical.
* Good PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to produce basic spreadsheets.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize.
* Basic understanding of Time Management.
* Understanding of performance targets.
* Experience in handling telephone calls and emails.
* Previous Call Centre and Customer Service experience or experience in a fast-paced work environment.
