Senior DevOps Engineer (WebOps & Cloud Application Support)

Requirements:
We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
1. Incident/Problem resolution and root cause analysis.
2. Problem resolution via coding and scripting.
3. Ad hoc reporting and data management.
4. System software build and release, including automation of manual processes such as code deployment and environment provisioning.
5. Performance monitoring, alerting, and tuning.
6. Potential development of problem fixes or minor change requests.
7. Coaching and supporting colleagues in non-functional requirements, ensuring availability, security, capacity, and performance of services.
8. Engaging in continuous improvement activities by working collaboratively within and outside the team.
9. Mentoring and leading less experienced team members.
10. ITIL 4 Foundation certification (training can be provided).
Technical Experience:
Experience in Unix/Linux, particularly shell scripting, database querying, and log investigation is required. We do not expect anyone to have everything but we are looking for experienced support engineers who demonstrate:
1. Unix/Linux proficiency.
2. Automation and monitoring experience in a support environment.
3. Cloud infrastructure support experience.
4. Database querying skills.
5. Familiarity with any coding languages.
6. Knowledge of DevOps and associated technologies, such as Continuous Delivery methods and Agile practices.
Your responsibilities are:
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and improving our IT services. Your duties will include:
1. Maintaining service availability levels of 99.5%.
2. Performing maintenance, upgrades, automation, and service improvements on our systems.
3. Assisting in the ongoing transformation project aligned with recent legislation changes.
4. Contributing to project development to enhance digital service quality and range.
5. Participating in the on-call rota to ensure service continuity.
6. Collaborating with engineers and product colleagues in an agile environment to develop your skills and experience.
