Role Specification
The Retail Account Manager will develop an existing customer base and maximise sales through pro-active telesales calls. To deliver a high-level of service to all potential and existing customers whilst increasing sales, product lines, profitability and developing long-term business relationships. You will be working as part of a business-to-business sales team focusing on building new business relationships. Conducting outbound calls to develop leads and prospects for potential new business. Contacting lapsed accounts and selling to existing clients to further maximize revenue. Based in our Normanton Sales Office, and reporting to the Account Director, you will be selling to a large base of customers.
Although the majority of your communication with the customer will be on the phone, this is a customer facing role in essence. You will need to build trust and a relationship without face-to-face communication. You will need to be resilient and consistent in order to convert customers spend from the market to VOW. You will be confident and secure within your account base, an active listener, and you will have a natural flair for sales.
Key Activities Will Include
* Making outbound calls to generate business with existing and prospective customers.
* Developing existing customers to maximize revenue.
* Building new business relationships.
* Interpreting customer's requirements and presenting them with a solution.
* To ensure that budgeted sales and margin levels are achieved.
Summary Of Role Responsibilities
* Ensure a proactive plan is in place daily, to achieve your specific KPI's.
* Determination to exceed budgets and develop the existing account base.
* Working in harmony with the wider team to push new product ranges and become an expert in selling their new and key lines.
* Working with colleagues associated to the day to day running of customers, such as: Sales, Customer Services, Credit Control, Inventory, Marketing, Product Management, Pricing, and Transport.
* Effectively monitoring customers and identify areas for growth.
* Identify and target new area's for growth and development.
* Any other duties as directed by management.
