Job Role: Quantity Surveyor

Your role and responsibilities:
* Project Cost Management: Estimate and evaluate project costs.
* Cost Control: Identify and propose cost-saving opportunities.
* Tendering and Procurement: Prepare tender documents and assist in procurement.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential cost risks.
* Value Engineering: Optimise project costs without compromising quality.
* Quantity Take-off: Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and clients.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate cost-related records.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and improve processes.
* Variations: Manage project variations and site measurements.
* Travel: Occasional client site visits may be required
What we're looking for:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field. Membership or eligibility with RICS preferred.
* Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in Quantity Surveying.
* Skills: Proficiency in quantity surveying software
* Understanding of construction contracts
* Excellent communication and analytical skills
* Familiarity with local building codes.
While not essential, the following would be a great advantage:
* MRICS certification or working towards it.
* BIM experience to enhance project efficiency.
* Expertise in construction law for contract and risk management.
* Strong client relationship management skills to foster partnerships.
* Leadership potential for future career growth.
