This role comes at an exciting time for the charity as we continue to build our profile in the local area and expand our tree supply and woodland creation ambitions and celebrate our first 25 years of restoring native woodland on Dartmoor. This role will be responsible for Delivering our habitat rich woodland creation programme working with landowners and partners on Dartmoor. Providing advice on environmental conservation and habitat creation and sharing your knowledge of good woodland management practice. Representing the organisation through our ongoing outreach activities. Monitoring our portfolio of woodland sites. This winter the charity has continued to support a diverse portfolio of woodland schemes both through the supply of 32,000 Dartmoor provenance trees and our own advisory services. Working alongside a team of dedicated volunteers and the support of seasonal workers each winter you will help us to plant more trees, create and join up existing woodland habitats. Central to this role will be maintaining an overview of opportunities for woodland creation on Dartmoor as well as tracking progress towards achieving our Vision for Dartmoor, one that looks wilder, with woodlands that form part of a mosaic of restored natural habitats.
