This MSP (Managed Service Provider) seeks a skilled IT Support Technician to join their team. With clients across various industries, this role will enable you to expand your experience in delivering technical support and services and grow professionally.
Employment Hours and Location
* Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
* Working from our office near Canterbury and in the surrounding area.
* Due to the location, you will need your own transport.
IT Support Technician:
To provide efficient and effective technical support to clients, you’ll require a good understanding of Microsoft Server, Microsoft Client, and Office 365.
* Provide first-line technical support to staff and work systematically to trace faults.
* To install, configure, and test equipment and network components and software.
* Monitor system performance.
* Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and network faults and perform preventive and remedial maintenance repairs and upgrades.
* Assisting in maintaining a help desk and fault reporting logging system.
* Provide maintenance services on all printers.
* Install new computer cabling and replace cable ends in the event of a line failure.
Specific Skills
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10 and 11, Server 2016, Office 365
* Required to have a minimum of three years of technical experience
* Must have a sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin
* Working understanding of wireless and wired LAN technology
* Good problem-solving skills
* Ability to develop good relationships and communicate effectively
* Hardworking, energetic, and enthusiastic
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Ability to maintain a sense of proportion in stressful situations
* Ability to be innovative and to use own initiative
Skills and Education Level
* Educated to ‘A’ level standard
* Microsoft Accreditation would be an advantage
* Obtain a clean DBS Enhanced Check.
* Full clean UK driving license
You will be required to work at a variety of clients’ premises.
There is an out-of-hours team, but in emergencies, the Support Technician is expected to work outside core hours to minimise disruption to the client.
