About The Department At abrdn the Client Group is responsible for driving sustained growth in the Investment business by servicing our clients with fit-for-purpose offering & quality engagement globally. The Client Office sits within the Client Group supporting and enabling the sales side of the organisation. About The Role As the Head of Sales Strategy & Enablement you will get the opportunity to be a key member of the Client Office and you will be a part of it’s Senior Leadership team. You will have the responsibility of defining, developing and delivering the sales strategy for the Investments business (in terms of capabilities & products). You will also be responsible for aligning the organisation behind the vision and focus strategies and fully enabling the sales team to sell them. Key responsibilities In line with strategic direction of organisation analyse external trends, client demand and internal insights to determine Sales Capability & Product priorities (working in partnership with Sales, Investments, Product & Marketing) Translates strategy into executable actions, relevant to area of responsibility and ensures the progress and delivery of the planned outputs and outcomes. Internally champion and promote focus on specific product strategies partnering with Investment Specialist function Align organisation behind key sales strategic priorities (particularly Senior Management, Product & Marketing, Investments) Drive profitability across Lines of Business by collaborating with key stakeholders in each business line. Design and deliver sales campaigns – Global and where appropriate high impact regional campaigns Setting sales teams up for success by designing and delivering comprehensive sales toolkits and product training which will build capability and remove barriers to success About The Candidate Requirements A deep understanding of the asset management industry (i.e. investment asset classes, markets and products/solutions), distribution channels and client needs Strong knowledge of core products and investment capabilities including equities, fixed income, multi asset and Alternatives Adept at navigating complex organizations with countless stakeholders, and partnering effectively with them to help drive a smart client-led growth agenda Demonstrable experience working closely with sales, product, marketing and investment teams Skilled in building and maintaining senior-level relationships, facilitating successful partnerships and strategic alignments Proven experience and leadership in guiding a business or functional area towards specific growth targets or goals We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
