CMA is currently working with an established SME business in Fareham who have forged a fantastic reputation within their industry sector. Joining a long-standing finance team, you will be responsible for the delivery of an effective accounts receivable and payables function. This is an office-based role - standard hours are 8am to 4.30pm but there is flexibility around the hours.
What will the Finance Assistant role involve?
* Responsible for the purchase ledger function, maintaining supplier accounts, reconciling transactions and making payments in GBP, EUR and USD.
* Ensure all bank and PayPal account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner, ensuring all unreconciled items are identified and challenged if aged.
* Maintain good communication channels with supplier accounting contacts, to ensure any invoicing queries can be easily overcome.
* You will be required to match purchase orders to purchase invoices and then allocate freight and duty bills to follow the goods in process through, enabling stock uplifts to be accounted for correctly.
* Send monthly customer account statements and deal with customer queries as they arise.
* Responsible for completing intercompany reconciliations to ensure transactions are posted correctly in both companies and then invoiced over accordingly.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:
* Relevant experience across the payables and receivables function.
* Experience of supplier statement and bank reconciliations.
* Experience of intercompany reconciliations would be advantageous.
* An understanding of multi-currency payments would be ideal.
