Being a Visitor Experience Officer for the National Trust is all about people – connecting with them, inspiring them, and making sure they have the best possible day when they come to visit.
What it's like to work here
In this role, you'll report to the Visitor Operations Manager and will be based at Anglesey Abbey. We're a friendly, close-knit team where everyone is eager to do a good job, with the visitor experience always at the heart of what we do.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll report to the Visitor Operations Manager, who leads the wider operations department. The Visitor Experience Officer is an integral part of the operational team, with responsibility for smooth operations, delivering fundraising targets, managing presentation standards and leading on access. Delivering exceptional visitor experience will be at the heart of this role and you will collaborate with other departments to ensure a consistent approach is taken.
You'll also take on the duty management responsibilities on a rotational basis, serving as the site lead during these times, which brings a level of responsibility in overall operations and visitor safety. You'll be managing a team of 5 dedicated Bookshop Volunteers who look after the Second Hand Bookshop.
