This high profile import and distribution company based in Waltham Abbey, Essex seeks an Accounts Manager to take control of its finance function on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to the Directors, duties will include:
1. Perform day-to-day / weekly accounting transactional record keeping across the business
2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of assigned financial transactions - Month end / Year end/ VAT / Billing
3. Establish and maintain accurate and appropriate records to ensure data integrity
4. Bank reconciliations
5. Accounting for stock and returns
6. Managing invoice distributions including tracking and payment chasing
7. Accounts receivable collections
8. Managing payables with vendors and third party service organization
9. Complete account reconciliations and account analysis, general ledger maintenance
10. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
11. Respond to internal and external customer inquiries
12. Work closely with internal teams
13. Review systems, process and controls
14. Liaise with external Accountants and payroll company
15. Work with multi CRM systems that feed into Xero
16. Ability to work independently and manage remote management support team
