Senior Physiotherapist - Prehabilitation

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic senior Physiotherapist to join our renowned PRIME Prehabilitation team. Our service was the first of its kind when initially set up in 2017 and continues to grow, supporting oncology patients who are due to undergo major surgery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside our Occupational Therapist and Dietician. The role involves leading the assessment and exercise prescription sections of the programme, supporting patients in both group and 1:1 sessions. We strongly believe in a team approach to work and education and you will be well supported by the Clinical Specialist Team Lead Physiotherapist.
This role will suit existing band 6 Physiotherapists with a background of surgical knowledge, or experienced band 5 staff looking for a new challenge. Experience within the NHS is essential.
Whilst the service currently runs over 5 days there are plans for expansion to 7 day working therefore the successful candidate will be required to be available for weekend working.

Job responsibilities
To assess and treat patients in prehabilitation. To support the team in the organisation and provision of an efficient, high quality and co-ordinated physiotherapy service for patients in each area. To undertake a defined clinical caseload. To ensure that patient and service standards and priorities are met. To provide clinical supervision to assigned junior physiotherapists, technical instructors, physiotherapy assistants and students.

Qualifications
* HCPC registration
* BSc Physiotherapy
* Member of CSP
* Member of Specific interest group
* Post graduate qualifications in Surgery/Oncology/Prehabilitation
Knowledge and Skills
* Previous Acute NHS experience at Band 5 level
* Achieved core skills in all core Junior rotations
* Evidence to support knowledge base in Prehabilitation/Oncology/Surgery
* Previous Senior Experience in Surgery or Prehabilitation
