We are seeking an Animal Nursing Assistant to join our Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. As an Animal Nursing Assistant working twilight shifts, you'll play a crucial role in supporting emergency cases and ensuring the well-being of pets bridging the gap from our daytime service to our night time AE service. You'll assist the veterinary team by providing essential hands-on care, feeding, walking and caring for the inpatients. Support the nursing team with tasks such as laboratory work, and prepping of theatre areas. You will also be required to carry out reception work, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the clinic. This role involves safely transporting pets between our Wirral and Liverpool sites as required, using our pet ambulance. For this reason, you are required to hold a full, clean driving licence and be 21 years of age or over. This role offers the right candidate a diverse range of responsibilities across all areas of our hospital, ensuring that no two shifts are the same. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of many pets during each shift. Ellesmere Port Hospital is our 24/7 site that serves the Wirral and Liverpool areas. At Ellesmere Port, we provide multiple services, including first-opinion veterinary work, as well as referral services in orthopaedics, soft tissue, and ophthalmology. Our diagnostic suite consists of ultrasound, digital X-ray, and CT. These services are supported by our enhanced A&E service, providing round-the-clock care.
