Vetro Social Care is recruiting Children's Residential Support Workers for a small Children's residential home in Swansea with an immediate start. You will be 2:1 working and supporting children in Residential Homes.

Overview:
Title: Children Residential Support Worker
Pay: £13.38 - £26.76 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Location: Swansea
Hours: Days 08:00-22:00, Sleep-ins may be required, Nights 23:00-08:00

What you'll be doing as a Children's Residential Support Worker:
1. Support the children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests
2. Promote the young person's independence and wellbeing
3. Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
4. Participate in weekend and evening activities to support the children and young people in their interests, which can range from climbing and baking to weekends away in Butlins
5. Protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
6. Provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home
7. Ensure the safety of young people by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
8. Support, overcome, and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging
What you'll need to be successful as a Children's Residential Support Worker:
1. Valid UK Driving Licence & Car Essential for this role
2. A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
3. Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
4. Minimum 6 months experience of working with children or within a similar Social Care setting
5. Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
6. The right to work in the UK
