We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. We have part-time hours available. Hours are expected to be between 11 hours fortnightly (Saturday Wake Night) and 13 to 26 hours per week (part-time weekend, hours to be discussed at interview).
Our Wake Night Support Worker vacancy is for every other Saturday Wake Night (20:30 to 07:30) currently at £12.54 per hour. A full year's care experience is required to apply for this position.
Our weekend Support Worker vacancies are for Saturday and Sunday to cover a minimum of 6.5 hours each day, or up to 13 hours per day which is flexible for one or both days. This can be discussed at interview to meet both our client and staff requirements.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and assistance to adults with learning disabilities, dementia, and complex needs. This position would suit someone with a cheery, positive attitude and a strong commitment to helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives.
Duties:
1. Provide personalised care and support to individuals.
2. Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and meals.
3. Support individuals with mobility issues, including the use of wheelchair, slide sheet, and hoists when necessary (training will be given).
4. Engage in meaningful interactions and activities to promote socialization and mental well-being.
5. Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition to Senior staff for appropriate healthcare professionals.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for the individuals under your care.
7. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding in all interactions with clients.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as childcare, patient care, or dementia care is an advantage.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
3. Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications required for the role.
4. A compassionate attitude towards providing care for vulnerable individuals.
