The Cardiac Physiology service based in the modern Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, Basildon hospital are looking for a Senior Cardiac Physiology Assistant to join our busy and welcoming team. The post is part time 22.5hrs per week with some negotiation on working day shift pattern but T must fit the need of the service. Applicants should demonstrate their ability to uphold our shared Trust values of Excellence, Compassion and Respect in interactions with patients, staff and other service users.
Our service covers both Basildon district hospital and the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre - a regional centre of excellence for cardiac interventions. We are an accredited Training Centre and have a dedicated Training Officer to support and facilitate development opportunities. We have an excellent history of supporting career development from support roles to qualified Cardiac Physiologists and onwards. Staff are expected to attain relevant professional quality standards of practice certification if not already held.

The Senior CPA is responsible for performing a defined range of cardiac primary investigations including recording and interpreting 12 lead Electrocardiograms (ECG), fitting and analysis of BP and long term ECG monitors and provide assistance under the supervision of Practitioners and Scientists in exercise treadmill tests and echocardiography stress testing.
