I am currently looking to speak with a Senior Field Electrical & Instrument Engineer for my client who is headquartered in the North East. They are a leading COMAH infrastructure business and operate several critical energy sites across the UK, Europe, and America.
This role is key to ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations, overseeing the delivery of all Electrical and Control & Instrumentation systems across operated sites. It focuses on maintaining compliance, safety, integrity, reliability, and aligning with commercial objectives.
Salary: £72,000 - £6,000 additional allowance + Company Car + Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide EC&I support and guidance to maintenance and operations teams at designated sites.
2. Manage emergent and planned engineering issues, balancing safety and commercial priorities.
3. Oversee Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, Explosive Atmosphere, and Power Distribution Systems compliance.
4. Lead small projects from concept to completion, managing budgets and ensuring standards compliance.
5. Conduct failure investigations, develop strategies for obsolescence, and support high plant availability.
6. Assist the EC&I E&M Manager with maintenance organization, cost reduction, and risk management.
7. Support plant safety schemes and implement report recommendations.
8. Maintain and improve the CMMS and stay updated on relevant standards and regulations.
9. Audit compliance, contribute to EC&I meetings, and review policies.
10. Mentor and develop graduate and assistant EC&I engineers.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree / HND in engineering.
Operational knowledge and work experience in power generation, chemical, or COMAH sites.
