The Manufacturing Health and Safety Manager will lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental practices across the manufacturing site. The role involves ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation, reducing workplace risks, and fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the organisation.
Role:
- Health & Safety Policy Development and Implementation:
o Design, implement, and review site health and safety policies and procedures in line with current UK legislation and best practices.
o Conduct regular reviews and updates to safety protocols, ensuring continual compliance with UK regulations such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and COSHH regulations.
- Risk Assessments and Hazard Control:
o Lead regular risk assessments across the manufacturing site to identify hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
o Ensure that machinery, equipment, and processes meet health and safety standards and are risk-assessed appropriately.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting:
o Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
