Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join their dynamic team as an Assistant Head of Department in Construction & Building Services, specifically overseeing Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of education within a thriving and supportive environment.

Role Overview:
As the Assistant Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Department in managing and enhancing the curriculum across our Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades areas, which include Construction Multi-Skills, Property Maintenance Operations, and Bricklaying. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our students receive a high-quality learning experience that fosters achievement and success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the management and development of the curriculum, staff, and resources.
2. Drive student outcomes by maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
3. Support and inspire both staff and students to reach their full potential.
4. Travel between our Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Extensive teaching experience in a Construction-related field.
2. In-depth knowledge of the Further Education (FE) sector and the ability to demonstrate relevant industry skills.
3. Current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role.
4. Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills.
5. Strong organisational abilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
6. Relevant trade qualifications and a teaching certificate such as DET, DTLLS, Cert ED, or PGCE.
