Brunel Medical Practice in Torquay is keen to hear from doctors looking for a salaried position with a view to Partnership. We have a growing list of more than 16,000 patients and are situated on the stunning South Devon coast, in the catchment area of three Grammar schools.
The Practice is part of the CCRG, a commercial research group offering opportunities for staff to be involved in commercial research studies, working with International Companies as well as a high number of NIHR Research Studies. The Practice and PCN are one of four pilot sites across Devon, offering additional appointment capacity to explore alternative models for managing urgent same-day demand. The Practice is keen to offer Partnership opportunities after a successful probationary period and would offer a supported development and training plan for new partners.
We have worked hard to ensure that the day-to-day work of our clinicians is achievable, allowing the job to be enjoyable and ensuring resilience in the team. Our bespoke appointment system has been adapted to manage increased patient demand and allows all clinicians to manage their own workload and clinical day. We want to make your day manageable and successful, and we want to get you home to your families on time at the end of the day. We have moved to a total triage model supported by Patchs online tool.

* Reception team trained in health navigation

* Commercial Research – the Practice is a member of CCRG, a commercial research group
* EMIS Web Practice – Practice Manager is Chair of the EMIS National User Group
* Mentoring for newly qualified GPs and for GPs seeking partnership
* Extended staff roles support the practice from the PCN
* Flexible hours can be considered

* 6 weeks’ annual leave and 1 week's study leave per year, pro rata
* A dedicated GP mentor, with protected time for personal development and mentoring
* Indemnity – the extra costs on top of Crown are fully covered
