We are looking for compassionate and motivated graduates to join our pre-teacher training programme, where you will work with students in a SEN school in Hinckley. About Step Into Teaching:
We are a pre-teacher training programme that provides graduates with hands-on, school-based experience, allowing them to explore careers in teaching, educational psychology, clinical psychology, or speech and language therapy. Our graduates gain valuable experience over the course of a full academic year, equipping them with the skills needed to embark on further training in these fields.
The Role:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with profound learning difficulties and disabilities
* Work alongside the class teacher to help support students in the classroom and during lessons
* Provide care and attention to students’ individual needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and motivated
* Assist with personal care and daily activities as needed
* Monitor progress, maintain records, and communicate with teachers to track development
* Be ready to face daily challenges that require resilience, initiative, and quick thinking
The Ideal Graduate:
* Degree holder (2:2 or above)
* Passionate about working with children with SEN and disabilities
* Able to provide high levels of care and emotional support to students
* Commutable to Hinckley
* Reliable and available for the remainder of the academic year
* Compassionate, positive, and able to adapt to different situations
* Ambitious and ready to make a difference in the lives of young people
