An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join our proactive and inclusive team.
Our service is delivered from six clinics across South Warwickshire based in Rugby, Kenilworth, Leamington, Southam, Stratford and Alcester. This full-time post will be based at Leamington hospital and Southam Health Centre. Part-time requests will also be considered and there may be scope to work at Stratford hospital.
This role will provide you the opportunity to supervise undergraduate and rotational physiotherapists and lead a variety of exercise classes and audits. We offer a generous monthly comprehensive in-service training plan in which you will be supported to contribute.
Coaching and mentoring opportunities are on offer to aid your career progression as well as the opportunity to deputise for Team Leads.
Our clinical sites are supported by a team of Advanced Practice physiotherapists who will be available to discuss clinical queries and provide the opportunity for you to shadow their clinics. We also have close working links and support from physiotherapy colleagues in Pelvic health, Orthopaedics, Pain and Respiratory.
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust covers a ‘7 day’ inpatient service; hence, this post also includes Orthopaedic weekend working.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to patients in a specialist area.
2. To work as an accountable and autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for your own caseload.
3. To work in conjunction with the Pathway and Team leads in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating the Physiotherapy service within the specialty on a day-to-day basis.
4. To take a role in the provision of support and clinical supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff and undergraduate students.
5. To deputise for the Team leaders as required.
6. To keep accurate records of patient contact using written records and electronic data capture.
7. To contribute to out-of-hours working as required.
8. To maintain own competency to practice.
