Are you an experienced Sonographer with an interest in practice education and professional development? Are you able to inspire and mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals? This is a unique opportunity to work in collaboration with the South West Imaging Training Academy (SWITA) team, delivering training and education in ultrasound. In this role, you will contribute to the improvement of recruitment, retention and training for the Sonography workforce.
Main duties of the job:
We're looking for someone who is committed to developing and enhancing training in ultrasound imaging across the region.
What we’re looking for:
1. A qualified, registered Sonographer with a proven background in clinical practice
2. Experience in mentoring, teaching, or supervising within a healthcare setting with a focus on sonography
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and inspire learners
4. A commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice and patient care
Your role:
1. Mentoring and educating: You will provide clinical training and educational support to the sonography workforce by supporting trainee Sonographers and Radiologists.
2. Lead and enhance: You will join in leading & enhancing delivery of clinical education, organising the educational and training requirements necessary for all staff in the Bristol Ultrasound Hub.
3. Developing training programmes: Working with SWITA, you will help design and deliver educational sessions that promote continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with SWITA delivering training and education across UHBW and, on occasion, travel to SWITA hubs to support training delivery.
5. Responsibility: You will have a shared level of responsibility for all aspects of the Bristol Ultrasound service with the local Sonography Leads.
