At East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, our vision is to be widely recognised for providing safe, personal and effective care. We currently provide high quality services and treat over 600,000 people across East Lancashire and the surrounding area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, highly skilled and knowledgeable Nurse to join the Cardiology directorate as Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse.
There is currently a dedicated 10 bedded Coronary Care Unit and a 20 bedded Cardiology ward; there are two Cardiac Catheter Labs and a Cardiology out-patients department. This is a very exciting time for us as we are also in the process of developing a new Cardiology footprint in which Coronary Care, the Cardiac Ward and Cardiac Services will come together as a new unit .This is expected to be completed by February 2024.
As the Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse you would be responsible for the day to day running of the ward. This involves taking responsibility for the safe staffing of the ward, managing sickness and absence, and coaching and developing junior staff.
Coronary Care Unit is looking for a Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse who can uphold the ethos of the unit whilst ensuring continued development of both staff and service.
