Clinical Director - Community Health Services
In conjunction with the Assoc Medical Director, accountable for the clinical strategic direction of CHS, delivering operational plans and performance which meet contractual expectations and delivers system-wide transformation in line with the transformation plan.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside the CHS Associate Medical Director, Executive Director and Head of Nursing, the Clinical Director will, with the support of the Directorate Leadership Team, be accountable for the strategic clinical leadership of health service delivery and the effective governance of the diverse range of clinical services provided in CHS. This is a part-time post and will require the individual to work across all of the services in CHS.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.
We operate from over 150 different locations across the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (‘LLR’) region with over 5,500 dedicated staff providing care through three clinical directorates:
* Adult mental health and learning disability services
* Community health services
We are now seeking to recruit a Clinical Director to lead our Community based services. Working collaboratively with the Head of Service, you will be jointly accountable for strategic planning and decision making; financial performance, exceptional care of service users, business processes and performance. You will have a key role in the analysis and transformation of existing services and in the development of enhanced patient care pathways.
The role requires one day per week and skills in leadership, innovation and stakeholder engagement. As a registered medical practitioner with experience in community health related service delivery we will provide you with opportunities to provide inspirational leadership to achieve our strategic vision to “create a high quality, compassionate care and wellbeing for all.”
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualifications (Equivalent qualifications will be considered where their equivalency can be demonstrated)
* Substantial experience at senior management level in health or social care organisation
* Evidence of other clinical specialist knowledge at masters level (Senior Clinician) or equivalent demonstrable experience
* Evidence of CPD
* Clinical registration with a professional body (NMC, GMC, HCPC etc)
Experience
* Significant experience of leading and managing services for adults and older people; including responsibility for strategic planning and budgetary control
* Proven track record of clinico-operational day to day management of system flow
* Experience of leading and delivering significant programmes of change
* Experience of managing and hearing performance issues, including at dismissal level
* Strategic thinker with evidence of establishing and implementing new models of care
* Previous experience of having worked on a management on call rota
* Expertise in leading and managing across systems
