Medtronic is seeking a Medical Affairs Specialist in the UK to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) group. In this role, you will play a key part in driving therapy adoption and improving patient outcomes by managing local evidence generation and dissemination. As a Medical Affairs Specialist, you will identify evidence requirements for healthcare adoption and work to meet these needs while collaborating with the global Field Clinical & Medical Science team, comprising approximately 80 professionals based across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US. This remote UK-based role involves working with customers across the UK and Ireland, with a primary focus in the London area. Domestic travel accounts for 20-30% of your time, with some international travel a few times a year. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Demonstrating expert knowledge of clinical and scientific data related to CRM products and understanding the science behind them Representing Medtronic at scientific meetings and congresses, showcasing the clinical benefits of CRM products to thought leaders, medical groups, and health systems Leading local evidence gap analysis, proposing and managing activities to address these gaps, including financial planning Supporting customers with physician-initiated research by evaluating proposals for scientific soundness, strategic alignment, and feasibility Acting as a recognized specialist across Europe on specific technologies, collaborating on projects across the region Contributing to publication efforts, including authoring or co-authoring study results, and supporting medical writing groups as needed Connecting customers with Research and Technology/Research and Development experts, influencing product development and roadmaps through medical and scientific insights Required Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, engineering, or clinical research Documented project management experience Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders Experience in arrhythmia management (healthcare or MedTech) In-depth knowledge and understanding of the NHS structure and its long-term objectives and strategy Full UK driver’s license Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
