Job Description / Team Role:
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions and drive successful project outcomes.
* Develop technical knowledge to give guidance to others across a variety of sectors.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organisation.
Individual Duties:
* Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs.
* Oversee the financial aspects of construction projections from inception to completion.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and procurement plans.
* Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and addressing any risks promptly.
* Advising on procurement strategies and differing forms of contract.
* Compiling contract documents, performance bonds and collateral warranties.
* Administer contracts and manage variations, claims and disputes effectively.
* Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of contract terms and conditions.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant regulations.
* Implement robust cost control measures to optimise project profitability.
* Track project costs, expenditures and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
* Provide expert guidance to clients and stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making throughout project lifecycles.
* Opportunities for Contract Administration and Employer’s Agent experience.
Skills and Requirements:
* Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
* MRICS status is desirable but not essential.
* Confidence in being positioned in a client facing role for respective projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods and cost management principles.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
* Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
* Valid driving licence.
Knowledge of:
* Proficient in MS Excel.
* JCT suites of contracts.
* NEC contracts.
* Cost management software.
* MS365.
