We are looking to offer a Workshop Controller the opportunity to join our expanding Fleet Operations team based in Stevenage .

With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.
Our team we are responsible for the supply and management of Plant, specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors. This is a great time to come and join a growing team

As the Workshop Controller, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Manage workshop performance through business KPI metrics.
2. Workshop Productivity & Performance
3. 1st Line conduct
4. Workshop supervision - day to day activity management & Progression
5. 3rd party work bookings Dealers – Organizing and liaising with 3rd party suppliers.
6. H&S management – ensure robust standards are adhered to
7. Raise Po’s – manage & organise cost effective, Quality solutions for M Group
8. VOR Control – ensure asset availability is maximised by maintaining low VOR through a key focused reviewing regularly across multiple departments
9. Communication - Deliver Business updates and technical Toolbox Talks to keep the Workshop team appraised of technical/safety & Business updates,
10. On hire Preparation requests From Rental team- manage and scheduled in additional workload as requested
What you’ll bring?
11. Previous experience of working as a Senior Engineer or Workshop Controller role gained through working as a Service Engineer/Fitter on LCVs, HGVs or Plant & Equipment or in a similar position.
12. Engineering qualification (likely to be gained in a Construction Plant environment, City & Guilds or NVQ preferred) achieved through a recognised formal training programme.
13. Capability to take ownership and responsibility.
14. Committed to delivering high standards of work & customer service.
15. Ability to analyse data and produce detailed counter measures to close performance gaps and provide high asset compliance.
16. Keen to learn with an interest in development and progression
