The podiatry department is made up of 29 individuals, ranging from laboratory technicians and podiatry assistants to advanced specialist podiatrists and clinical leads, in a variety of posts from Band 2 to Band 7. The department spans across Stockport, providing clinic access for patients in 12 different sites, from Stepping hill hospital to GP surgeries, health centres and patients homes. Stockport Podiatry offers a wide range of specialist input to the residents of Stockport- this includes Nail surgery, an urgent care clinic, patient education classes, high risk foot care, specialist adult and children's musculoskeletal assessment and provisions, as well as multidisciplinary team input from the diabetes and vascular teams, orthopaedics and minor surgeries teams via our High Risk Foot Team.
