Overview:
Berkeley Insurance Group (part of Brown & Brown Europe) is currently looking for an experienced Private Client Account Handler/Executive to join their professional and welcoming team based out of the Leicester or Birmingham office.

In this position, you will primarily be involved with offering and renewing contracts for Private Clients that typically include clients with significant wealth and assets that need bespoke as well as standard covers. As a Handler/Executive, you will manage an existing book of business while dealing with new enquiries to expand the company client base.

The day to day:
1. Service designated clients of Berkeley Insurance Group UK Ltd, ensuring retention and development of the Company's income, including client visits and passing files/instructions to appropriate staff.
2. Work closely with Account Executives and Directors to provide the highest standard of service to customers.
3. Secure and arrange appropriate cover at renewal at a competitive premium, completing all relevant documentation/computer work and hand over to the relevant Account Executive/Director (if an allocated case).
4. Take instructions relating to the provision of insurance cover from clients and Account Executives when appropriate.
5. Give instructions to insurers.
6. Ensure mid-term adjustments and declarations are processed and records updated.
7. Handle the invoicing of all premiums due.
8. Check all documentation (i.e., policies and endorsements) for accuracy prior to sending to clients.
9. Obtain quotations for any relevant new policies/renewals.
10. Maintain effective credit control on allocated cases.
11. Be conversant with the Company Procedures manual and the requirements of the FCA Standards and Rules and implement and maintain procedures as stipulated.
12. Be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
13. Visit customers where agreed with the Account Executive.
14. Monitor trends, analyze results, and prepare feedback to senior staff.
15. Deal with any other client issues that may arise, referring to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience.

Your Experience:
1. Requirement of at least 4+ years insurance broking experience.
2. Confident in handling quotation enquiries, renewals, and midterm adjustments for various HNW insurance policies.
3. Strong understanding of insurance markets, products, wordings, and options.
4. Acturis insurance broking software knowledge is an advantage.
