We are looking for people who are able to offer flexible availability to work as and when required including weekends on a zero-hour contract, with the capacity and commitment to travel. The service sits in Children’s Social Care, offering meaningful time with family for children removed from the care of their parents by the Court, due to safeguarding concerns.Family time is a deeply complex experience for children who have experienced trauma in their lives; we work to support and maintain relationships with birth family, supporting children to retain their sense of family history and identity and to create positive memories whether they are able to return to the care of their parents or not.Our work takes place primarily within dedicated venues near to where children live with their foster carers. When the level of potential risk faced by the child has reduced sufficiently some Family Time sessions may move and take place within the community.Family Time workers would need to be able to travel independently to facilitate the family time and would need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Andie Markham, Service Manager on 07789923711.Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
