If you answered yes, then we want to hear from you. The Social Media Executive role at Dr Sam’s Skincare is instrumental in crafting the content that captures the attention of our audience, engages them to consider us and convert them to fuel our growth.
In this role, your focus will be on supporting the social media, and broader marketing teams in developing compelling content and engaging our communities in social media platforms.
You’ll report to the Marketing Director and work closely with the Assistant Social Media Manager to help support content capture, editing and execution for organic purposes.
Key platforms: TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook
Key Responsibilities:
TikTok content creation and account management
* Monitor TikTok trends, features, and best practices as a key input for video content creation to maximise reach and engagement.
* Capture, edit and create engaging and shareable TikTok content, including videos, challenges, and trends, that drives brand awareness and encourages user-generated content.
* Build and execute TikTok post plans syncing with key brand activities and helping amplify brand priorities
* Track and analyse TikTok performance metrics, optimizing content strategy based on insights.
* Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and community interactions to foster engagement.
YouTube Shorts & YouTube Channel Management
* Plan and create engaging YouTube Shorts repurposing TikTok video content that resonate with skincare enthusiasts and educate our audience.
* Manage and optimize the YouTube channel, including video uploads, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and metadata for SEO.
* Monitor analytics to improve video performance and engagement.
* Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and community interactions to foster engagement.
Cross-Platform Video Content Creation
* Repurpose TikTok content for Instagram Reels and any other relevant platform needs or retailer social needs.
* Stay ahead of video trends and ensure our content remains fresh and engaging across platforms.
* Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency in all video assets.
* Working alongside the Creative and Influencer & Community teams to support the editing of content for social use optimised to maximise impact and efficiency in the appropriate platforms with the right hooks.
Qualifications:
* At least 2 years proven experience in Social Media role with specific TikTok experience
* Previous experience working for a beauty brand is preferred and a passion for beauty and keen interest in skincare is important
* Previous experience working with an influencer/founder
* Experience and passion for capturing the very best video content with an obsession for lighting, angles, and an attention to detail that shows dedication to the task
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of social platforms, algorithms, features, and best practices.
* Exceptional creative and visual storytelling skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics and brand consistency.
* Proficiency in social media design tools and video editing software.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects.
