About us
At Sense Scotland, we take immense pride in our work and are currently seeking new talent to join us in supporting individuals with their everyday lives. Our vision is to help those we support lead fulfilling and happy lives, enabling them to achieve their own ambitions. We prioritise strong values, fostering warm relationships, and creating positive experiences. We value input from all staff members, ensuring meaningful outcomes through the commitment to our core values.
About the services
We support a number of adults across Fife in their shared homes in Kelty, Auchtermuchty and on the outskirts of Glenrothes. Each individual has their own complex needs including, but not limited to, visual/hearing impairment, physical and learning disabilities, epilepsy, diabetes and congenital rubella syndrome. We see each person as the individual that they are, and endeavour to provide services that support their interests, aspirations, health needs and wellbeing.
Individuals are supported in every element of their lives within their own homes and out in the community. The services that you would join offer a huge reward in terms of personal and professional development. We encourage team members to bring their own interests and skills into the workplace to share with the people who use our services. Experience is not required, we care much more about your values, enthusiasm and willingness to learn - the skills you need we will train you in through an extensive range of support and development opportunities. This is a role where you can really make a difference.
Day to Day you will:
* Promote independence, individuality and achievement of goals, with the voices of the people we support at the very centre of everything you do.
* Assist with various tasks such as personal care, moving and assisting, housework, administering medication and meal preparation.
* Plan, attend and participate in meaningful activities both at home and in the community, including art, music, travel, swimming, shows and concerts and sensory experiences.
* Liaise with your team and with others to review and ensure you are providing the best quality care.
* Maintain accurate, up to date daily recordings.
Day shift times vary from 7:30am to 10pm start and finishing times across a variety of early, late, mid and wakened nightshifts. We have both part and full-time contract opportunities.
About you
To succeed you will need to have:
* A positive attitude and values that match our own.
* Good team-working skills.
* Clear communication skills.
* An ability to use your own initiative.
* Patience and understanding.
* An ability to prioritise and manage workload.
* An eagerness to learn and develop.
* A driving licence would be desired as each person we support has their own car, but is not essential.
