Salary per hour : $60.38 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

The Diabetes Nurse Educator is a Clinical Nurse Consultant position that demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by the RN standards for practice, education preparation, relevant legislative standards and codes in the context of care.
The Diabetes Nurse Educator will work within their clinical advisory role and demonstrate critical thinking and analysis, comprehensive assessment skills; care planning, practice and evaluation in the provision of care to clients and their significant others. The Diabetes Nurse Educator practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions and delegation of care. Delegation takes into consideration the education and training of enrolled nurses and other health care workers and the context of care.
The Diabetes Nurse Educator provides essential and timely support with self-management of diabetes and improved health literacy around understanding ongoing health needs. The Diabetes Educator works in an evidence informed manner to achieve optimal health outcomes for those accessing services. This role provides client centred care planning to support self-management and independent living for those living with diabetes with delivery of specialist diabetes education and management as required.
About you
* Registered Nurse (Division 1) qualification and current AHPRA registration
* Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education (or equivalent)
* Current credentials with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA)
