Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent support to all external customers; adhering to policies and procedures to sustain a high level of service to all sectors. This person will have responsibility for the efficient and accurate provision of quotations, order management and expediting, from the day-to-day business.
With a salary of £25,000, commission and incentive programmes will be discussed for successful applicants.
Responsibilities
1. Customer development and relationship building.
2. Maintain high levels of customer service, focal point for most customers to contact as a first point of call.
3. Understanding customers' individual requirements and relaying this to the sales & production team to ensure new business can be built to schedule.
4. Liaise between the customer and the company providing accurate, clear and concise information.
5. Control daily, weekly and monthly deliveries and ensure dates are accurate and meet acknowledgement dates.
6. Understand and control customer call off stock, be in control of buffer stock & replacement orders.
7. Ensuring quotations are loaded onto the ERP system and quoted to our customer within our SOP timeframes and all quotes are followed up within a suitable timely manner.
8. Ensuring orders are loaded onto the ERP system and acknowledged, delivered and have constant communication with our customers.
9. Ensure accurate data is recorded and presented to sales office manager where needed.
10. Communicating material lead times, end of life/obsolete parts and queries to sales team and work closely with the customer to guarantee acknowledged delivery dates.
11. Data preparation for analysis.
12. Maintenance of customer details and performance through performance reports.
13. Cover for other team members and assist with other admin duties as required.
14. Deputise for the Sales Office Manager.
15. Undertake any other reasonable tasks beneficial to the business.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within a related industry.
2. Ability to manage multiple workloads.
3. Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
4. Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
5. Confident telephone manner.
6. Customer and commercially focused.
7. Flexibility to work with changing priorities.
8. Computer literate with experience of Microsoft packages.
9. Knowledge of management methods and techniques.
10. Troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
11. Logical thinker & ability to review issues from differing viewpoints.
