The Isle of Wight’s Youth Justice Service is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Social Worker to join their multi agency team.
You will work with skilled, passionate and supportive team managers and colleagues, looking at innovative ways to address adolescent risk outside of the home (contextualised safeguarding). You will have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with families and partner agencies, so the voices of our children are heard.
You will be experienced in engaging children and have the confidence and emotional intelligence to engage others. Using a Child First approach you will be expected to manage a varied caseload of children aged 10-18 years old with access to internal support from multi-disciplinary team members.
Qualified and registered as a Social Worker you will be a self-starter, with a good sense of humour and an ability to work well with partner agencies. You will understand the proven benefits of Restorative Justice and embed this within your practice.
You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing practice development and continued improvement to frontline service delivery.
