Small, friendly, privately owned construction company is hiring to provide support to the team.
Job Role Description:
We are looking for a high energy, dynamic candidate to fill and grow into a role in our family-run business. The role is varied and will suit a person looking to get into the construction industry office environment. Reporting into the Commercial Management Team, responsibilities will include:
1. Compiling Buy / Sell forecast documents
2. Compiling Procurement Schedules
3. Compiling material call-off lists for projects
4. Preparation of Individual Project duration Programs for consideration and approval by the senior management team
5. Day to day monitoring of project progress in support of the Contracts Supervisor and Contracts Director
6. Maintaining delivery note/conveyance note schedules
7. Managing and recording incoming deliveries
8. Communicating directly to the labourer workforce, directives from Management
9. Compiling project packs consisting of RAMS & BofQ's, general project information
Essential Skills:
1. Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
2. Strong communication skills
3. Moderate understanding of Quantity Surveying
4. Moderate understanding of construction and the construction industry
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
Preferred Skills:
(Not essential, as can be learnt during the job)
1. Knowledge of groundworks and civils
2. Reading drawings and compiling Take-offs
3. Project Management
4. Procurement / Buying negotiation
