The Stores Operative plays a critical role in the process and maintaining of free movement of all work areas. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties:
1. Keep all work areas free of debris and maintained in good working condition, following best practices in line with BMS guidelines, coordinating repairs & improvements with the team.
2. Maintain vehicles in clean and tidy condition ready to be used by departments.
3. Recycling of all material in and around work areas to maintain a safe work environment, handling all associated details, housekeeping to include exterior environment.
4. Organization of all warehouse racking/storage systems ensuring all assets and equipment are kept in designated areas clean and ready to use, reporting any defects noted to the relevant team member with updates weekly.
5. Handling of delivered items to warehouse with directing/communication to relevant departments ensuring all received goods are accounted for and stored accordingly.
6. Work with Company CMMs database, uploading to the system accordingly for new & old equipment. Ensure that all equipment movements are correctly planned and coordinated, maintenance and certification of project and diving equipment is monitored and maintained with help from the certification group.
7. Compliance with the company's Quality and Safety Management System, and workshop procedures. (It should be noted that each person has a responsibility for the quality and safety aspects of the work that they undertake.)
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
1. Awareness of SEMA racking regulations.
2. Good attention to detail.
3. Previous experience as a supervisor or team leader.
4. Strong work ethic.
5. High level of commitment to health and safety.
Desirable:
1. FLT License (HSE 117 ACOP Compliant).
2. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
