Clinical Contracts Officer, Business Development

Job overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Clinical Contracts Officer, Business Development to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing IT support to the Business Development team who manage the Trust's clinical contracts and commissioner contracts.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide administrative support and data analysis for the Trust's clinical contracts to support contract management and negotiations.
2. Create, maintain, and operate processes to validate invoices received from external providers.
3. Collect information and documentation required for inclusion in the Trust’s Head Contracts with NHS England, NHS Surrey Heartlands ICB and associate commissioners, and other clinical sub-contracts.
4. Fulfil ad-hoc data requests and data analysis on the Trust’s activity, coding and costing data and FOIs.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. Assist the Contracts Managers with collecting relevant documentation and information required for contracts including but not limited to quality compliance and insurance certificates and Trust policies.
2. Provide data analysis for new contract requests such as cost modelling and comparison for trust income versus contract price based on expected activity levels.
3. Act as a primary point of contact to receive Key Performance Indicators from the Trust’s contracted providers.
4. Support the Divisions when they require ad hoc reports and help with regard to contracting issues.
5. Work unsupervised using own initiative following departmental, trust and national guidance, policies and procedures escalating to senior managers when necessary.

Qualifications and Further Training
* Educated to degree level (in IT and Data Analysis) or equivalent experience
Experience
* Work experience involving data analysis, data preparation and presentation e.g. SQL Management Studio
* Experience of working within an NHS or Healthcare environment e.g. within a clinical or operational service team
Knowledge
* NHS Constitution
* Trust vision, values and strategic objectives
Skills
* Effective written and verbal communication, and able to present complex information to others
* Highly effective analytical skills and high level Microsoft Excel skills
