The job:
* Ensure strict adherence to safety and maintenance policies.
* Champion the Company’s STAR 10 Life Saving Rules and Observation Card program.
* Conduct Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analyses.
* Perform inspections and audits, following Management System Requirements.
* Navigate Geoquip Marine policies, adhering to the Permit to Work System.
* Drive the development and review of procedures and work instructions.
* Master the Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Manage all mechanical Personnel departmentally.
* Uphold Health and Safety procedures, Codes of Practice, and Statutory Regulations.
* Ensure top-notch client service, on-time completion, and budget adherence.
* Cultivate relationships with internal and external customers.
* Enforce statutory compliance across business systems.
* Coordinate services from specialists and subcontractors.
* Maintain and modify data within the CMMS.
* Motivate and review maintenance staff, overseeing training and development.
* Collaborate with Rig management teams for compliant planned maintenance.
* Work with maintenance planners for scheduling reactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
* Review asset reliability, propose corrective actions, and monitor reliability KPIs.
* Write/review mechanical maintenance/repair procedures.
* Oversee equipment modifications in line with company MOC procedures.
* Attend vessels for maintenance and repairs when necessary.
* Provide technical assistance to offshore personnel.
* Drive Departmental and Rig Budgeting, CAPEX planning.
* Advise on upgrades and capital expenditure requirements.
* Ensure safety compliance of electrical systems.
* Participate in new build projects and design activities.
* Keep technical documentation current and relevant.
* Create/review hydraulic Schematics, ensuring proper filing.
* Project manage Large Projects and mobilizations.
* Prioritize continuous learning and CPD for staying at the top of the field.
* Make impactful recommendations to improve productivity, costs, and quality.
* Manage, motivate, develop, and lead mechanical staff.
* Mentor and guide less experienced personnel in the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Strong understanding of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems and components.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and some experience with CAD design.
* NFPC Level 3 (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (training can be provided for the right candidate).
* Higher Certification/Degree (or equivalent) desirable
* Project Management experience preferable, not essential training will be provided.
* Knowledge and experience of LV Distribution Systems
* Hydraulic Control/Systems Experience beneficial.
* Experience creating hydraulic schematics and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and a strong safety mindset.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* MS Project Experience Preferable, although not essential
* ILM level 3 qualification is advantageous
* Offshore/Marine Survival
* Medical Certificate
* Must pass pre-employment and random drug test
