We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Homelessness Project Workers (SC5). This vital role requires a proactive approach in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate the various challenges they face daily. As a Homelessness Project Worker, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and engage directly with clients to provide tailored support and services. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing action plans, and connecting clients with essential resources and services, such as housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities. In this role, you will play a critical part in empowering individuals to achieve stability and self-sufficiency. You'll be at the forefront of our efforts to address homelessness in the community, advocating for clients, and fostering relationships with other organizations and services that can provide additional assistance. Responsibilities
Conduct outreach and initial assessments for individuals experiencing homelessness to identify their needs and challenges.
Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with clients to promote housing stability and personal development.
Facilitate access to housing resources, healthcare services, and employment opportunities for clients.
Provide ongoing support and crisis intervention to clients as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case notes in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Collaborate with community partners, service providers, and stakeholders to enhance available resources for clients.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in homelessness support and case management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated experience working with marginalized populations, particularly individuals experiencing homelessness.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and client interaction.
Knowledge of local resources and support systems available to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing caseloads and documentation.
Hours Per Week: 36:00
Start Time: 16:00
End Time: 22:00
Pay Per Hour: £16.00
