Head of MFL Faculty Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time Contract Term: Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS TLR 1b This is a rare opportunity to lead a large and successful MFL faculty on to even greater things. We are looking for a Head of MFL confident enough to lead a faculty that already performs very well, and capable enough to make it one of the very best in the country. Lymm High School is a well-established, 11-18 school with over 1950 students (400 in the 6th form) and exceptional resources, including 28 acres of beautiful grounds, a swimming pool, leisure complex and our own residential centre in Anglesey. We have a strong track record of excellent exam results, with a Progress 8 score of 0.71 last year and equally strong results at KS5. It is also a lovely place in which to work; in addition to good fortune with our physical surroundings, staff are exceptionally positive, committed and supportive. Our languages faculty is amongst the strongest within the school, with a track record of consistently outstanding results, including a value added score of 0.80 in 2024. French, German and Spanish are popular subjects and are offered at both KS4 and KS5, with students also taking two languages in year 8 and 9. We also have an extensive and growing extra-curricular offer, including trips and visiting performances. We believe that even though the faculty is in an excellent position, there is certainly scope for the right person to move the faculty on further over the next few years. If you are an experienced candidate with the right track record, we will ensure you have the opportunities to enable you to move into senior leadership rapidly. If you are a little less experienced but can demonstrate the talent and ambition we are looking for, then we will provide all the support you need to make your mark.
