The Role
We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused Night Shift Post Production Manager to lead and inspire our overnight operations team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth running of our post production workflows during the night shift, with a focus on priority territories including APAC and LATAM, whilst maintaining strong communication across our global offices in London, Los Angeles, and Sydney.
You’ll be overseeing a team of 25–30 operational staff and supporting their performance and wellbeing throughout the night. If you're a confident decision-maker and natural problem-solver with a passion for leadership in a fast-paced media environment, this is a unique opportunity to make a genuine impact.
We understand night shifts can present challenges — that’s why we place a strong emphasis on team morale, autonomy, and a supportive working culture. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the team feels valued, connected, and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the night shift, ensuring operations run efficiently and all tasks are prioritised and completed on time.
* Monitor CETA jobs upon shift start — prioritising APAC, followed by LATAM/Mexico/BPO, then any urgent or high-profile jobs (e.g., trailer launches).
* Act as the central point of contact for the night team, resolving any issues and escalating where appropriate.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with Heads of Department and stakeholders regarding capacity, bottlenecks, and shift updates.
* Ensure detailed and accurate handovers are delivered to the early shift team.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with night staff to promote a positive team culture.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews with direct reports.
* Ensure adherence to internal procedures, compliance requirements, and workflows.
* Support the implementation of new initiatives, workflows, and operational improvements in coordination with HODs.
* Flag any technical issues (hardware or software) to IT for resolution in a timely manner.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
* Solid understanding of post production and localisation workflows within a media environment.
* Proven experience managing teams, ideally in shift-based or out-of-hours environments.
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – especially when coordinating across international teams.
* Calm and decisive under pressure, with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently.
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to delivering work to deadline and specification.
Desirable Skills
* Experience managing teams during night shifts or within a 24/7 operation.
* Familiarity with systems such as CETA, or experience in subtitle/versioning workflows.
* Prior experience collaborating across global time zones (e.g., APAC, LATAM, US).
* Understanding of post production software, delivery tools, or asset management platforms.
* Comfortable with Agile or similar workflow methodologies.
* Experience in client services or stakeholder liaison.
* Enthusiastic about promoting a healthy and inclusive team culture, especially on night shifts.
