Job Introduction
General Manager - Catering - Birmingham
Monday - Friday role (occasional weekends will be required to suit business needs)
As General Manager, you will report to the Regional Manager and be responsible for the running of the site, which includes staff and delegate feeding from a newly refurbished restaurant, and the daytime & evening conference facility, ranging from an offer of tea & biscuits to a sit-down dinner for 200 plus. You will also be responsible for the other sites within the contract. Experience of managing a conference venue or large hospitality offer is essential for this role.

You will take responsibility for the delivery of all contracted services, particularly the successful management of the outputs of each of our strategic partners and sub-contractors.
More about the role:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Overseeing the soft catering service delivery including the provision of hospitality and catering
* Communicating regularly with the client
* Completing action plans following client satisfaction surveys
* Ensuring all client hospitality is delivered to the correct standard and identifying opportunities to improve and increase the service where possible
* Analysing, monitoring, and managing GP whilst ensuring cost and sales records are accurately inputted and maintained
* Ensuring all customer requirements are communicated to all departments in advance to ensure effective planning
* Completing/adjusting labour schedules in line with sales
* Analysing and effectively managing all in-unit costs
* Ensuring budgets are understood and achieved, ensuring all costs are managed effectively within budget

* Have knowledge of working in a management role within the catering/retail industry

* Possess excellent leadership skills
