We are seeking to appoint a part time Science Technician to join our Science Faculty and existing team of Technicians from Tuesday 7 January 2025, subject to the necessary employment checks.
The role is for 27.5 hours per week, term time only, working 5.5 hours a day Mondays - Fridays with working hours of 10.30am - 4.30pm each day day, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
An ability to interact with pupils and staff is essential and general IT skills would be useful. Whilst experience working as a Science Technician or in a laboratory environment would be beneficial it is not essential, as training can be provided, although a good knowledge of scientific principles in one or more of the areas of chemistry, biology or physics is desirable. Strong organisational skills and an ability to work on your own initiative is also important. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake relevant safety and/or skills training as required to fulfil the job requirements.
