Employment opportunity to be a PA for a 26-year-old who is neurodivergent. He is a fun, kind and very generous person and very much enjoys building good relationships with his support team through shared interests and a wide range of activities.
The role would be part of an established and experienced team.
Main responsibilities:
• Facilitating independence and personal growth by working at home to inspire social, independence and general life skills.
• Practicing said skills when spending time in the community, together with noticing and sharing any successes or barriers encountered.
• Attend regular meetings, trainings and undertake relevant upskilling sessions for the role.

Hours of work: 16+ per week
Rate Pay:
self-employed role, but usual guidelines are £16 for 3 month training period and £18 moving forward.
Desirable skills:
• The ideal candidate would have some experience in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS); this is not essential, however, as full training will be given.
• Previous experience working with people who have additional needs would be preferred.
Key information:
• This role is primarily based in Killay, but you will also be working whilst out in the community.
• This support programme is overseen by Skybound Therapies who provide regular meetings and development sessions for our team.

Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
